Hi all
Yesterday i fitted a crucial mx100 SSD drive (256gb)
Everything seems ok and i installed windows 7 64 bit
But ive noticed when i install something i lose alot of available space.
For instance i installed the motherboard drivers (audio etc) and the available space dropped from 203GB to 199Gb.

I then installed my nvidia graphic driver (216mb) and the available space then dropped to 196GB.

So thats 3GB of space for a 216mb driver?

Anybody know why or have tips to why its taking up so much space?

Cheers

fyi - move the pagefile.sys to a fast sata3 hard drive and you can also set your temp folders to the HD, you want to minimise temporary writes to your ssd as much as possible, if you have alot of ram in your system you could do away with the pagefile completely.
