not a bloody clue?
Every time I get to my PC it has turned itself off! On reboot I get the following 'Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown' popup.

The following is a copy & paste from he box:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: a
BCP1: FFFFF8A000203868
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: FFFFF800032B525B
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\062014-28454-01.dmp
C:\Users\DiGGeR\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-53601-0.sysdata.xml

Now.... This only seems to happen when the power management takes control of the 'sleep mode' setting.

The screen powers off after 5 mins and the system sleeps after 10 mins.

I can use the PC, as I am now, without problem. I can also leave it 'Always On' without problem, but I don't want to.

I suspect that a bit of software is refusing to 'sleep' and causing the blue screen?

I have read a few bits from the net and done reg,mem & hdd checks and all seem fine?

Any ideas??

Cheers

Just to add a little more... I have run BlueScreenView and this is what it gives:

I have used a program called who crashed, that seems to pinpoint the issue.

If you install it, it will read the last crash logs :)

Ah, IRQL errors. Usual culprits/fixes/checks:

  • Make sure all drivers are upto date.
  • Run the RAM through a memory check - there is one built into Windows' [F8] Advanced Start Up screen these days (can also be scheduled to run at next boot via mdsched.exe)
  • Reseat expansion cards - doubtful in this situation.

check the bios settings for power management
and make sure s1 or s3 power modes enabled if the machine is crashing when going to hibernate

I'll have a look at that mate... Cheers.

This is the report from WhoCrashed:

On Fri 20/06/2014 09:38:38 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\062014-21684-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75BC0)
Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xFFFFF8A00032DCB8, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF8000326E25B)
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Well it looks like its output was poor this time.

From what you mentioned above, you have updated all your drivers? Correct?

Has this just started happening recently?

TT

Yes mate, all drivers are up to date. As far as I know they are correct. I'm not getting any hardware errors anyway?

Cheers

cant your bios be set to s1 and s3 if not then s1 should be the first to be turned on
but this should solve the problem . if you set power management in windows
for when you push power button to hibernate to test

I've just had another look at it.. The options are for S1 (POS) or S3 (STR) either/or but not both together. Its set for S1
@MH just to answer your question mate... its been happening for about 3 weeks or so but I've not really had chance to look at it. I tried a system restore from an earlier date but no joy...

Hi did you get this sorted ?

i have a similar problem on a pc bsod irq not equal etc and eventually found it is after a Malwarebytes update that seems to be causing the issue, if i stop malewarebyte just before shutting down i then get no error on shut down.

i have to rebuild the machine in the next week or so, so i suspect my problem will go away.

Hi Mate..

Sorry for the long delay in the reply....

I seem to have sorted it by changing the sleep after time from 20 to 25 mins...

Not really had much time to be honest

I have seen messages in the past when I have had memory issues
You could try swapping your RAM memory over and see if it gives you different addresses

Or it could be that something is trying to write to an address already storing data
