anybody having issues with this since last update?

firefox updated on Friday (i think), been acting a little weird since then.

takes an age to launch now and shuts down my desktop when launching..

anyone else having issues

You may have an incompatible add-in, try disabling them and restarting. If it improves enable one at a time until you find the dodgy one.

I'm not having a problem but I'm not using Windoze

bingo...

and the culprit was an addon called applon support which also updated on Friday.

no idea what the addon did or how it sneaked on there...

I was using ghostery, since last update laptop locking up every so often.
Removed ghostery and all ok now.
