Hi guys

I am very fond of building PCs. I took out all the hardware including cd-rom drive, floppy drive, hard disk and ribbon cables are other cables of my old pc. So the case went empty like i am making a brand new pc.

Then i assembled all the hardware and cables etc back together to gain see how it all works.

I also opened the monitor and removed the dust because the screen wasn't straight like square and level, i don't know how to describe it. Once dust was removed, i screwed it back.

When everything was assembled, i tested it and noticed that the monitor screen is gone blurry.

I can't read any text as it is gone very blurry. I have tried even changing the monitor settings e.g. colours etc but didn't work.

I am not sure what went wrong. How can i solve it?

when u opened up vdu and dusted.............i wouldnt do that pesonally unless i realy had to cos they bite if u touch wrong bits 26kv......even if switched off for a while.

i assume u unscrewed the yolk with the coils on around the tube if u wanted to adust square.

if u did then it quite likely u havent put back in the same place, the yolk should be up tight to the tube, then adjusted from there,

square level is movement coils rotationally till level then do up screw

focus will be 2 pots on ht transformer they will prob be plastic

colour convergence will be plastic bits behind coil and or magnets on adjustable metal stalks.

what is make/model of monitor ?

if its old it wont be digital adjust it will be manual, open up and check u have coils in correct place, then adjust focus on eht transformer.
