I have a HP pavillion g6 series lappy its only 3 month old and Ive had nowt but trouble It wont boot sometimes and when it does it hangs for like 13 minutes on boot up but once it boots up its fine.

I want to factory reset it as I think its hanging since it took some HP updates auto maticaly. The thing is theres no system restore points and the HP factory Reset option is disabled I will upload a picture below.

Ive tried to boot from a windows7 cd and do a repair but the repair option will not show all I get is an error saying all hardrives are Dynamic windows can be installed on these partitions.

Ive even back dated the bios to the one that was on when I bought it and it still hangs. It has a system and recovery parition but it wont let me do a factory reset.

Im stumped and totaly pissed off Ive been on with this for days and cant get my head round it Any Ideas ? I didnt even get a factory reset tools disk with the lap top.

heres some pics any help please lads this was one of my sons crimbo boxes im gutted I dont want to send it back incase I dont get it fixed in time for christmas day.

Like I say theres no restore pionts and it says factory reset is disabled and it also says on boot up options these partitions are dynamic so I cant even format them delete them or install a new system on them its like my computer has been hacked by an alien.

I cant do anything with it.

Run ABR, back up all your data, get the drivers from HP etc and do a fresh install without any of the HP crap. Get rid of the recovery partition and just take an image once you've got it set up.

Software isn't covered by warranty anyway.

Pob it wont let me do a fresh install because when I boot from the windows disk it wont let me delete or format any of the patitions on the harddrive ?

It get an error saying windows can not be installed on this partition because it is dynamic sectors ?

It a pure headache.

right I think I know what your getting at pob bare with me lol Ive used that ABR prog and saved it on a usb good little tool that )

And Ive also backed up me drivers on the same usb pen.

Ive also formatted all the factory drives and tools etc so thats done.

Only problem now is I only have a windows7 ultimate disk not a windows7 prem home which is installed on my lappy.

So will I have to download a windows7 home prem if I dont want to use a activation tool for the ultimate install ????
