Here you go guys, not my proggy so thanks to original developer. This little thing is hard to come by.

This will unlock your Dell computer whether it is BIOS or HDD master password.

You need to enter the full Asset number including the "-" for the BIOS and the first ** for the HDD password.

Even works with the dreaded 595B models.

Enjoy!!

DELL BIOS UNLOCK CODE GENERATOR

DELL BIOS PASSWORD UNLOCK

EDIT 2:
Please add rep and/or use the like button if a member takes the time to provide you with a code.
Also...
There is no need to post multiple requests for unlock codes. If a code can be generated someone will hopefully get back to you.
Please be patient;
duplicate posts will now be deleted without notice.

EDIT-----

I've changed the link to this to bit.ly....this is so i can keep track of usage due to my dropbox account being hammered. A quick search on the internet reveals loads of forums with this link lol.

EDIT 5:
The information provided on DW is supplied "as is", free of charge and without warranty or liability.

In line with our "no traders" rule; any member found to be charging for unlock passwords will be banned.

password given is master BIOS password
type it in carefully and try Ctrl+Enter

Thanks again. Just tried again and no luck. Am I inputting in the right place? When I try to flash the bios or access set up via F3 I'm asked for a password. The password is in a box titled "Setup Unlock" "The administrative password is set on this computer." Should the master bios password unlock this?

the master password is only to get into BIOS
initially it is also the Admin password but once admin password has been changed it will no longer work for Admin but will still work to get into BIOS

No good I'm afraid. Its an old corporate machine so i've no idea what the admin password would be. Any way of doing a complete reset?

you could try something like Hirens boot disk or active at boot disk these are bootable disks with password removal programs on them
you could also try googling forgot my admin password
or post a new thread in PC problems forum (not in Dell Forum)

Thought I'd try the password again while I was trawling for an answer on the forums and low and behold it worked! The trick was holding shift and double clicking enter. All set up options are available!
Thanks for all the help smoggie you are a star.

Inspiron n5050
Service Tag: GV2HMT1

Tried the master password tool off the first page, but the service tag says to input HD S/N, and the HD S/N displays nothing. On a side note I'm a technician unlocking a laptop for a customer, not a lowlife thief. ;)

Dell inspiron n5010
Service tag: 74H2FL1
Express service code: 15508008037

My bosses son put a system password on this laptop. I tried removing the CMOS battery for a bit, to no avail. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks in advance.

I just tried the generators but nothing seems to work. Inspiron Mini 1020. Service tag-18BLVM1. HDD password error code 14370. Can anyone help?

Hello All,
I've got a Dell e6410, Service tag: 8KL5XN1-1F5A.

I would be forever grateful of the person that could help me out with this little issue. Well actually big issue as this is my work laptop and would rather not take this problem to my IT department. Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
ItsMyWiskey

Posts in some rooms don't count. Also any posts the mods deem to be "clocking" to get to the 5 post count are removed.

As it happens The Dentist has already posted dropbox links to the python scripts:

I see this forum hasn't had any questions for the Dell Mini 10 recently. I hope you can still assist. I opened up my Mini to see if I could add ram and the bios screen came up prompting for a PW. I never set one, so called Dell and got the run around.
This is what it says after entering the wrong pw 3 times:
System Disabled
[07437]
Service Tag:
[BKB64L1] - The 3rd character may be an 8, can't tell if its an 8 or B

Can you help me? I think it has Phoenix bios

Im running XP on it

Thank you

Thank you very much. It did in fact work to let me into the bios and remove the bios PW, now its prompting me for a Hdd PW - This sucks, especially since I didn't have any PW's on it. The ones you gave me did let me past the bios, just not into the Hdd. Its giving me Trouble Code: 09392 Service #BKB64L1
Is that a whole different issue?
