hi guys i recently purchased a zoostorm laptop i have had to do a re-install of windows 7 and it hasn't installed 3 drivers in need a base system device driver and a ethernet controller driver does anyone no where i can get these from i have done a google but found nothing am woundering if anyone else has one of these laptops and no where to get the drivers from

does the laptop have wireless? if so, connect it up and run windows update. i have never actually come across a device than win 7 hasnt found the drivers for.

Most cases wireless card be installed then as the post above the windows update will find all drivers for you!

hi mate have u not got a recovery partition that u can boot from and install that way which in turn put back all your drivers, or are you updating to win 7

Go to the zoostorm website. Find your laptop. Look at the Specification tab. Note down the details for the chipset. Go to the website for the manufacturer of the chipset you need the drivers for. Search and download.

For what it's worth the ethernet LAN driver is often included as part of the chipset driver suite.

thanks for ur replys guys yes it has wireless have connected to windows update but it hasn't installed the drivers i have listed i think the only one it did install was sound driver

no i haven't got a recovery disc but once i have all the drivers i sure am gonna make one

LITTLE POB

i have found the chipset it is Intel, Skt 1156, mATX, DH55TC

tho when i did a google there is so many would it matter if i find the wrong one and try to install it or wont it install

Hmmm, that's not a laptop chipset. And on double checking the Zoostorm website the processors stated wouldn't even fit motherboards sporting that socket.

If you post the laptop model number, I'll see if I can find the actual chipset used rather than the crap they've listed.

its a zoostorm W76th with the intel celron 900 cpu....

would be grate if you can find it i dont think im lookin in the right places.

the only thing windows update has found is a graphics card and the sound card driver....

i still need 2 base system device wat i believe to be the card reader and the ethernet controller

It's looking likely that these are made by someone else as an OEM whitelabel then badged up and had Windows installed by Zoostorm - not as uncommon as people think.

As such try one of pieces of hardware identifier softwares floating about. I've never had cause to use this type of software, but the MajorGeeks website recommend this freeware: Unknown Device Identifier - Freeware Download

thanks little pob that pieceof software works great foun the both base system devices just going to get the ethernet controller now but it works great thanks again

well i cant seem to find that ethernet controller it is a jmicron jmc260 but when i do a google it comes up with recovery disc you have to pay for it dont really matter as never plug it in anyway
