i have this router the g plus model. The problem is at least twice a day i have to use the install disk .as my internet goes of. once i reinstall its fine for a bit its realy starting to do my head in ...Any ideas why this is happening ?
any help from you guys would be great thanks in advance

have you done a factory reset on the router via a small hole at the back
use a paper clip or a needle to press it while its still plugged into the mains

I have the same one, FD9230. Same thing used to happen when i got it.

Dont install the software that comes with it.

Plug and play. All settings can be changed at 192.168.2.1

Also, do a firmware upgrade on it. (option is in the router page > bottom link on the left hand side.)

tried that all i keep getting is page cant be displayed ?? do u have a link address so i can try this ??

You can post it back free and they will replace it with the next model up no questions asked.
I had problems with two and you print off a free shipping label.
Cant fault them really as they give you life time guarantee,

is your pc connected via wire or wireless,did you create a new network
when gettin the router,also is your lan connection set to automatic and not
static ip and is the dchp on router switched on,if its wireless connection check the channels settin on router

192.168.2.1 am now able to get on this page but no matter what i try and do its asking for password to log in..typeing the right password in and just getting log in error. its as if am putting the wrong 1 in but its deffo right .thing is going out the window

put the pin in the reset hole and keep it pressed in till all the lights go on/off. don't change the default password as mine never seems to accept it

dont put a password in cos it be set a default just leave it blank press log in button

reset the thing then downloaded latest firmware it rebooted itself..and its been fine all day today..
