Hi. I have managed to download this patch recently but seems to be password protected. Does anyone happen to know the password?

I think you mean the RAR file is password protected? And no i dont know the password mate but if i where you i'd recommend moving away from mcafee and useing avast free edition of AVG free edition mate, Both better than mcafee and both totally free!

Thanks for your advice. To be honest i quite like what I have and it is an offical version. It's just my subscription to Mcafee has expired and I did not download the patch before it expired. I could renew the subscription but the would cost me the best part of £100!!!!!

if its a RAR with password, usually there is a hint on the download site as to the password. if not your stuck. you aint got a hope of cracking the password, unless the maker was dumb and used a dictionary word.
as stated above there are better programs around for free, than McAfee ever was. Avast, AVG, Avira, nod32, Comodo to mention a few.

I think you should do what people are advising mate.
There are plenty of free ones to choose from as stated in other posts.
I have been using AVG for sometime and find it very good and nowhere near as intrusive as Crapafee.
I know Crapafee can be hard to uninstall sometimes so here is a bit of advice.
Go to this link
Freeware Files - Free Software Downloads

and download the McAfee removal tool which will remove the lot and clean your registry up after it removes it.
Then go to the anti virus section and take your pick of any of the free ones available.
As previously stated there are quite a few good ones which are free.
AVG, Avast, Avira, Comodo etc..
Download and install and watch your pc run a lot better..
If you are using the McAfee firewall you may have to switch your windows firewall back on or download Zone Alarm which is also available at that link..
Good luck.

McAfee is a shocking bit of kit, take the advice above, use Avast, far, far better, and if you want to pay for it, they do a paid version too... Cheaper than McCrappy too.
