I've got another pop up that comes on every so foten and I've I'm offline it asks me to connect and when your playing a game and take you out of it to connect it gets on your nerves.

Non of my spyware progs etc have picked it up and I don't know how to remove this

Any help would be great

I'd go with Dutcho:

either use msconfig in WinXP (works in other Windows versions as well)
to check for any unusual tools started during boot into the Windows Desktop,
or if you are really confifent have a look at the registry directly.

Maybe it's of help if u post what MSConfig shows you as being started during boot.

If you look at the directories of the startup files you can normally tell which ones belong to the software you know you have installed. If your unsure about an item unclick it anyways, you can always tick it again after the re boot if you find you needed it ;)

Looks good so far.
Nothing unusual that's starting up, at least nothing that looks like spyware :)

Not too sure about this "Search" entry though.
Rest shouldn't invoke any dialups to the net. Try to disable that one, see what happens

unlikely this but if using xp then look in your Start > Connect to > Show all connections and see if there is anything there that shouldn't be (should only be your isp) ... if others there then delete them

I stopped that search from start up and tracked it down and removed it and everything seems to be ok I'll keep ya posted

Aye,

hope that "Search" entry was the one to blame hehehe. Anyway, keep me posted and we'll see :)

*crosses fingers*
