It depends on your motherboard specification. I most likely will but it'd be a good idea to run a system information program to find out the details of your motherboard.

PC Wizard is one that will do that for you http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php

Do you know what motherboard it's running on? Or what processor you want to upgrade to? You might get issues if you have alot of PCI cards, and the new processor will start looking for more power, which the PSU won't be able to provide, depending on what it generates.

If it's a fairly decent PC you should be able to swap it out with minimum fuss.

Belarc is another good program for finding out what hardware you have installed. Also tells you your software, keys etc.

Hi just a bit of info, As others have said it will depend on the motherboard. I you don't have the manual for the motherboard, which will tell you what the max processor that will go onto the board. You can visit the web site of the motherborad manufacturer, where you can download a copy, this will give you all the info you need.
