Hi

Have been trying to get this openbox working with my sly card i have the world package it works in my sly plus box and also in my dm500

When i place the card in my openbox most of the channels work apart from the sly movies and sports showing as scrambled the signal is good as the other boxs work fine on it

Any ideas

doesnt help as there is no option to edit under caslot only option is to change the freq

i have also tried to transfer my ccam.cfg file from my dm500 to the openbox which includes the bk

edit sorry I just tried this and in the latest firmware it doesn't unscramble it did when i tried it with the august firmware i think it was you can edit the smartcard config if you know the details to input it might work then I dont know what the ACS is the ciad i think is 0960 then you need the camkey and camdata

so does that mean there is no other way other den using a cline coz i brought the box as a replacement box for my sly plus as it is faulty

no as i said it worked in the older firmwares i just cant remeber which one have a try with the old ones around august september/october but save your tp_prog file which is the channel list dump by usb in the menu then you can put it back on with upgrade by usb

mate the box key is correct as it was working with my dm. i will try to edit the ccam to take the bk

the bk goes in the menu>> tools>>CA SLOT Setting not the CCcam.cfg have you tried looking in the all satellite channels for alternative channels to the one's that dont decrypt sky move channels and then you get scrambled or no signal because the channel has moved . If you have a sub and it is upto date the channel should clear ok update you skycard

I have managed to get the sly card working with all the sly channels but one thing i noticed is all the bravo channels not working showing scrambled which is odd

the bravo channels no longer exist mate, so thats why they dont work!

No need

The channel was a part of the Living TV portfolio of channels, and was sold by Vermin Media Television to BSlyB in 2010. In September 2010, Sly announced that the channel, plus sister channel Bravo 2, would soon close.

The two Bravo TV channels finally went off-air on the 1st of January 2011. The last day of programming included World's Strongest Man, Sun, Sea and A&E, Brit Cops, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Most Shocking, Pimp and Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men

Sorry to reopen this thread but...
All the Dec-hex converters that I try inc ALL the ones in this thread only give me a 7 digit hex code
And yes I am entering the correct 10 digit serial.
I have never seen this before I've tried inputing the 7 digit code with 0's at either end but everything is scrambled and NOHING clears
I'm sure I have the card in the right way round as well as it reads the data. Face down with the chip facing upwards.

doe it say smart card inserted when you insert it because i am sure it goes in the openbox the same way up as in a sky box that is how i always had mine and it says on screen smart card inserted , also just use the windows calculator in scientific mode to input the digital and convert to hex

It says smart card inserted no matter what way round it goes but with it in the way I said above you get all the card information, you dont get that when its the right way up.
I have just tried my main card which does get an 8 digit hex code instead of the 7 digit one from the multiroom box.
That is the same there are no channels clearing at all, even the normal ones that normaly clear without a boxkey.

Also I always use Wincalc in scientific mode but I thought you said in an earlier post that wincalc didnt work with an openbox.
Anyway they all produce the same 7 numbers.
But until I get the box working I am going to use the HD card with the 8 digit hex key.
I have the clock set at 6.12mhx
emm - enabled
and I selected videoguard2 to enter the boxkey.

Is there anything else I need to turn on for the CA to work?

Wheres the best place to get either Skybox or Openbox firmware and whats the latest ver?
I have C2HS2-11-08-08.05B2CMT

im sure for the hex number if it brings back a 7 digit number you just put a 0 on the front to make it upto the 8, iirc anyway!

That makes sense, and it's what I've been doing but I'll check it on the DM later. I just cant figure out why the card is not working.

Re: SLY Channels scrambled [SOLVED] well mine is

Thanks for all the help guys but I have managed to fix it.
By The Way this fault was on a new S11 Skybox.
Solution was to upgrade the Firmware.
I downloaded FW for a Skybox S10 dated 14th of September 2011 and loaded the abs file after backing up everything, rebooted and reloaded the channel list and everything is working perfectly, with a 0 at the start of the 7 digit hex key.

Thanks everyone.
