Hi All

Looking to buy a brand new Wii and wondered if people still install chips on them or do they just softmod them ??

The reason i ask is i allready have a Wiikey2 and some D2CKey chips, are they now useless ??

What are the pro's/con's of each ??

Cheers

Keep hold of the chips, they might still come in handy. Most "chips" these days are called drivekeys which although i have never used them are meant to be a piece of piss to install.
If you buy a wii i would recomend a second hand one.
Newer wii's are not able to install a program called bootmii. This is pretty much all you will need to stop your wii ever getting messed up and the past few weeks it seems a lot of people are messing up their wii's by not reading instructions properly.
Softmodding is REALLY easy if you follow instuctions, if you need help drop me a PM.

Sorry didnt realise i coudnt post adds or ask questions, i will stop now and try some other site that doesnt have so many rules.

i think chip still i know softmod is easy just cant be arsed to update iso's and wads etc when new games comes out

had mine chipped when i got it at xmas, then softmodded it and always use the backup launcher now. i suppose its personnel preference

You were warned well before this 3rd post, 3 day ban, next time it will be longer, unless of course you don't come back after finding some other site with not so many rules
