thanks for that, even though im a newbie im thinking of jumping in and going for a db 800hd? i got hd tvs around the house, do you think a newbie to this should? how do you go through payment for the server? tnx

just to add to my last pm, if you are setting up wirelessly with access point, the access point will have to have a wireless repeater mode.

you should be able to setup wirelessly using a wireless access point, i haven't done it myself, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work, failing that, you could use homeplugs or as a last resort run cat 5e cable from router to box.
regarding cline, i am operating a server that i just want to pay for itself i.e no more than 10 clients, therefore, no glithes. i've still room for 4-5 clients, i'm charging E30 pm about £24 the package includes skyworld (including irish channels) espn and setanta sports, official price E107 pm

as you can see, there are lots of options, any dm500s you buy now is a clone, but hey,. These boxes work diffferently to your n2 cable box, a bit of programming and a few flashes and of course, a 24/7 broadband connection, all you need then is a cline.
