was there ever a way to play N64 roms on the console?

Yes mate, there weer a few devices available, my mate owned a N64 Doctor.

I had something similar called a Wildcard 32 with a separate disk drive. All the games were on the disk and you left a game in the console.
Also had one for the Snes.

I've got a Doctor V64 Jnr that came from Japan. I believe they are very rare now and personally I only ever see one other. Very nice piece of kit, although I don't use it anymore.

Yeah there was i used to have one but as it got older i got rid of it was cool though don't remember what it was called soz.

I was just thinking about this the other day, I'd love a R4 style flashcart for my SNES/N64 to this day. Found this NES one just now but it seems a little expensive, besides, I don't own a nes. hxxp://kotaku.com/gaming/retro/nes-finally-gets-flash-cart-269038.php

wouldnt it be easier to buy a wii and download all your old fav's?

My m8 had the doctor v64 it was awsome in fact im gona find out if he still has it and offer him some cash for it if he has.........

From what i have learnt the game is ready to play just not on live atm

Sorry to bring this up after a while but I was browsing eBay the other week and came across this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=140229373290&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

Obviously I kept an eye on it but before long someone had chose the buy it now option and I wasn't prepared to pay that much :proud:.

Anyway my point is, I don't see why the flashcard scene in china hasn't been more keen to make flashcarts for older consoles, since I think there'd be a fair bit of demand for it. I mean if they bothered enough to make a clone of a snes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Twin_Video_Game_System) then surely a flashcart would be the perfect accompanyment?

Just wondering is all... :)
