Can someone tell me if a Vix image is better for a newbie then the black hole image please?
Also if its harder for a newbie to start out using a black hole image can you do more with a black hole image then a Vix image I only ask cause I will be picking 1 or the other however if Black hole is really hard for a newbie to learn to use I will then pic the Vix instead

vix images do not have HbbTV black hole image do but thay both good images
 
it comes down to personal preference really.....i really like blackhole images, because of the simplicity and ease of use, very user friendly. vix images are also very good , layout of buttons is slightly different, however recently ive put on a vix image on my solo, only because when i had blackhole it kept reverting back to saving epg on internal flash, have had no problems with vix image..unless blackhole makers fix this issue then solo will have vix on it. Both are good images and are the two most common ones used by people.

if it does the same 2 me and starting saving the epg on the internal flash cant cause my vu+solo 2 unit any harm can it?
I like black hole cause someone said it has an extra thing the the vix images dont have
Maybe what happened to you wont happen to me if I use the up to date black hole image what is the version number of the latest black hole image please?

i think hes saying the vix image does have hbbtv
 
Vix image does have hbbtv as a plugin instead of being directly built into the image, they both are very good images and its personal preference to which you choose, BH is based more on the original VU image where as Vix is not and is loosely based on PLI.

As for the Solo2 then i can only answer for blackhole as that is what i have installed on mine and its rock solid, Not too sure if the Vix image still has some slight teething troubles with there solo2 image

You should always go for the one that feels more preferable to yourself although it never harms trying out other images in the meantime

i am just a newbie but I think I am gonna pick the black hole image and learn with that
