hi
i am looking for latest firmware for my 780 can anybody help

depending on what firmware is o the box now, you can do an internet update (if there is one)

menu
installation
password 0000
s/w update
ok

There is an update on the net use your remote instructions below.

Menu>>installation>>0000>>>S/W update, wait for the update to download to the box, then just leave it as it has to unzip it, after it has done this, the box will reboot, factory default your box, and do a new scan.

maybe wording needs to be in flashing lights:plane:

As with all updates make sure you factory default the box, and do a new scan on your box.

cheers jan always nice to know these things lol

If you put the box on standby overnight Jimmy, it will auto update anyway. This is essentially for a new flash, rather than an update. As updates are auto when in standby.

I would have a word with whoever you got the box off mate ;) Bloody cowboys ;)

Hi There,

I have just got a KV this is my first box I have given it a scan and it seems to be easy enough to scan but it needs an update to get more channels. I have the KV box at the moment connected to my TV my PC and my cable provider VM. I have been reading the posts and I know it sounds silly but what I would like to know is do I need it all set up like this before I can download the update's and then after the update does it still have to be connected to your PC all the time for viewing? And do I download the update to the hard disc on my computer first or straight to the box? Im all ready to go but dont want to make a mess of it!!!!!!!!!!

So any help would be much appreciated :Fish:

If the box is new you will have to use the null modem cable first, after that then you can use the remote for all furter updates, follow below for future updates per remote.

menu ...... installation ....... 0000 ....... S/W Update. follow on screen advice after it is finished your box will reboot.

Best then to do a factory default and do a new scan, always do this after new updates i do it that way and dont have any problems.
