I have made some leads which allow composite signal through cat5, all works well but would like to put it through router/hub but can't get it working this way?

Is it possible before i spend too long on it, i would have thought so.

to work through the router or hub, youd need some form of convertor to turn the information into data packets that could be passed through the network gera, but then they would also need to be able to address each other through the network gear.

i know you can get matched pairs of adaptors to send just about anything down cat 5/6 cables, but they rely on only one on one end of the cable, and the other on the other end, with nothing in the middle.

what youre trying to achieve is verging on IPTV conversion

Thanks, have been having a play with different leads and although its doing something i can't get a picture.

But as the cables both meet at the router i am just going to put a connector in place to join the cables together, it will only feed one place but at the moment thats all i need it to do.
