backlight kits

hi all
could someone tell me where i can buy a tv backlight kit for a 40" lcd tv. i have seen them on ebay but are quite costly. lookin for a cheaper option

Hi, what do you mean by backlight kit, have you got sound and no picture ?

no i was referring to a back light kit. a kit which involves connecting led lights to the back of your tv to give light while watching tv. like the phillips ambience range. take a look here

i was in ikea and think i saw something similiar

dealextreme do strips of rgb leds, to make you own

I got mine from Ikea and can recommend them, they got a few different
settings you can play with, they are plenty bright enough and just
stick to the back of the tv. You get 4 strips in the pack but I found 3 was
enough for me, top and both sides.
