I think its the same panel as the A457 so the settings from that panel apply to yours.

hey munkey, can you double check these settings are from the correct panel? i tried them out and my screen was almost black. unless im missing something.

These were taken from the same panel

Mode: Movie
Contrast: 65 -70
Brightness: 55 - 60
color: 35
Tint: G 54/46 R
Sharpness: 0
color Temp: Normal
DNR: OFF
DNIE: OFF

G offset: 15
B offset: 15
R gain: 8
G gain: 15
B gain: 15

The other settings were taken from the A457 panel.

What actions lead to your screen going black or do you mean really dark?

sorry m8, the screen went almost black with the first set of settings u posted m8, ill try these new ones l8r and report back. thanks again munkey.

ps whats DNIE? i didnt see that on my settings list. or is it an abbreviation for something that is there?

Digital Natural Image Engine, generally it's always better to have these enhancements switched off. I've just had a look around and found a few more settings for your plasma but they are all very similar to the ones posted.

Try calibrating a component connection and see if the black issue resolves itself, HDMI can be troublesome when choosing colour spaces.

Sorry to hijack thread but munkey can you get me the settings for a Samsung PS50A457P1DXXU

Sorry Bally I'm struggling to do any real kind of searching as I'm on dial up at the moment. Try these

black adjust off
dynamic contrast off
colour space native
edge enhancment off
digital NR off
real 100Hz demo off
blue mode off

and use a THX film or the DVE disc to do the colour adjustments.

Check this thread out as it has some great info in there.
