I've flashed this image, but for the life of me I cant install the cccam, I've put it in tmp folder but when I go back to setup on the box its not showing

How do I know if my VU+ Duo is Genuine or Clone?

Check if there is a sticker on the back of the unit with a sticker near the tuner inputs labelled V2.0 or v3.0. Also check for a sticker in the top of the reciever on the top righ hand corner at the front of the reciever . The sticker has a URL on it to download images from.
If you have these stickers then you have a clone reciever.

..........only problem I have now is that the screen seems too large for the tv, ie: info buttons are below bottom of screen as are channel numbers at the side of the screen, tv settings are fine, but cant find anything on the box to change size setting

I think thats called overscan, should be a setting, probably buried deep,in your TV settings

Put you tv and stb settings to just scan that should fix it

Best to switch off overscan on TV. If you cannot, you can edit size/placemnet of OSD on image. (This comes up during initial setup)

Menu > Setup > System > User Interface > Position Setup

got it fixed, its the settings in the user interface settings that needed adjusted,

you would have been best served turning off overscan on your tv than adjusting the OSD position, with overscan active your loosing any thing up to 6 inches of viewable tv screen all around the edges of every mode not just with the satellite.

would having the screen size set at 16.9 not mean the overscan is off? or is there other settings?
