The people who make this image are German, so when it is saved/compiled or whatever it is naturally left in their native language sadly :|

Anyway, here is the latest image, just out today...

QOOY - Pick your file host - Download - enigma2-20-2-2013.zip

Once flashed in the usual way, after menu disappears press Menu on remote, then press 1, then press 6 and finally Red button. From there you should be able to select the language you require.

Once that is taken care off I suggest that you exit and save your choice (Red button) and select Shutdown from the Main Menu. Power off the box and remove the usb stick. Power the box back up and once fully booted press Menu on remote, then press 1, then Green button (Manage Settings) and select bottom option, to Factory Reset and Reboot.

This will then take you through the necessary initial stages of setting the image up to your display settings, network, etc. Then simply ftp your usual stuff over, setup tuner, scan for channels, install emu and your away ;)

How are you finding this image mate?

Love the look of the images, as it's reminiscent of the Dbox2 and dm500c days, using these neutrino type images, but sadly they are limited in what plugins, if any, you can add to them :S

Still using the HDMU images on the Alien 8900, but I have an issue with them where certain channels, like Gold, only show for say 20 or 30 seconds then start to pixelate badly making it unwatchable. Can't be a tuner fault as its perfectly OK on the Spark software side, so must be a tuner driver issue or similar???

But I do prefer the look of these images, if only they were tweakable and addable like the HDMU ones are.

To be honest I have hardly touched the Alien since I got my Vu+ clone. They're like chalk and cheese, from the remote, to the functions available (plugins) to simply being able to view all channels without probs. Can't see me using the Alien on a regular basis unless some work is done to the images to improve things. They shouldn't be lagging years behind something that is being phased out by their competitors for a newer model

I think its a good bit of kit that just just needs supporting
