decided to have another go with perm timeshift, I found that before, after a while it used to realy slow my box down (even though I was recording to usb) but maybe this newer version is better thanx for the upload

If you go into the perm timeshifts settings, theres an option to save when you zap channels

Thanks for that. On the Vix images, when you press record, you also get an option to save the "time-shifted" section of the program.

If its like most images ftp in to temp dir, then install the ipk through image install option.
