Following on the success of my lamp project, I've deicded to start work early on my clock. Again this will feature bearings as the main part of the clock, with a camshaft and various flanges and fittings as the base. The clock itself will be store bought, depending on if I can find a suitable design and diameter clock.

Anywhere here is the beginning. I have decided to JB Weld these 2 shells together. I have heard good things about JB Weld (an american product) - J-B Weld - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good stuff pal. Not sure if it is because we saw the lamp that gives the impression this is going to be HUGE, but how big is it going to be?

I remember back up 'norf a guy had a boat in his back garden. Bigger than a Yacht and smaller than a ship, but a decent size (must be photo's online).

I see you living in something like that in the future!

To give you a size comparison, keeping in mind this part is just the top of the clock

Yeah I agree. Keep in mind body is going to be painted similar to my custom lamp project, black and silver
