Tm800 IQ 28.11.11 image

Got bored so flashed this new image.Everthing ok until i used blue button downloads.Before download centre crashed you had the option of downloading DW epgpackage now it is not there.So downloaded DD's panel and changed server to DW. Used blue button to access plugins and selected dw and then epg package download.Result was not epg being downloaded but a green screen and reboot.

I have attached a crash log just in case DD hasnt totally given up on this box, maybe you could suggest a resolution please.:Cheers::Cheers:

Any proper write up on this image? Surprised it hasnt been released properly or is it a unoffcial release?

Its just all panic on TMs behalf, hoping everyone will swallow it, dont be fooled all these image releases are just make up to stall things whilel TM get the new box out. Just stick with what image you like the best.

I too have had the same problem, crashes every time. I did find that the epg installs along with all the other stuff if you use the transform my box option. I also have to say that I like the new look after the transformation... Well done digi! But...

This box is so frustrating, I would be well happy with the new look, the epg data imported first time too and that's a rare thing. But the OSD is oversized so I can't see most of it. The top and left margins are perfectly lined up but my TV screen needs another 4-5 inches on the bottom and right side to fit the new OSD!! Annoying!

I have attached a couple of pics so you can see what I mean.

Is it possible to resize the OSD? I have tried just about every option in the menus but I cannot find anything to help make the OSD fit the screen.

Normal viewing of the channels is fine, the picture fits as it should, it's only the menus that have this problem.

Please help! I would really like to keep the menus and stuff looking the way they do now.

....

One more thing, I keep getting the cleanup wizard telling me I have very little free space and asking what I would like to delete, what's safe to delete and what's not....

sorry digi, I should have said, I'm not using the same image as the original poster, I'm using the official image downloaded from the LAN menu on my receiver, I think it was dated 08-11-2011.... I just decided to post on this thread rather than making a new one because I was also having the green crash screen problem that the original poster posted about.

Is there anything I can do to put the HD skin support back in?

The video drivers / oversize of the nice skin (Kerni variant I believe) installed by Transformer has been like that for months now. Skin worked really nice for a few images then iQ did something to cripple resolution again.

One more thing, I keep getting the cleanup wizard telling me I have very little free space and asking what I would like to delete, what's safe to delete and what's not....

In DD's panel at the bottom is a button called temp bug fix.Within there you will find an option to delete unwanted files.This will free up quite a lot of memory and stop the clean up wizard popping up all the while.

Reading oldstoners post gave me an idea.I also used the transformer which loads epg download.I then went back to skins and changed back to one which comes on flashing.Job done epg loaded and currently downloading data, skin fits screen although doesnt look quite as nice but is functional.

One thing i have noticed with this image is an improvement in the playback of recordings made on the TM800. FF and RW are vastly improved and very quick , you can see the progress of FF again to help when to stop instead of shooting blind.Also zapping times seem a little faster.No changes spotted in media player and not looked for anything else.

im working on this image now, while it may not have a HD skin, itll have the usual DW goodies, as well as the new updater, DW via your telly, and a TM800 ONLY feature for the truely lazy amoung us

ok, im a little pushed for time tonight, but, ive just added some 'bolt ons' to this image and cleaned it up a little.

ive run the transformer, sorted out the green screen issue, and erased the HD skin files
its got ALL of the EPG stuff installed and configured for slyUK
its got the DW forum plugin installed
its got rats latest UK channel lists installed
its got rats updater installed

it also has rats auto updater installed, but not activated, activate this via the yellow button, ppanels, rats updater, activate auto updating

its had jimux's cleaner run on it, as well as a few other 'manual' files removed

the boot script has been slightly modified, and im almost certain that ellies 'network mount' fix is also implemented

boot screen and spinner is changed

the image IS a backup image, so WILL NOT run the wizard,

video is set to 1080i @ 50hz
tuner is configured as fixed @ 28.2E (you will need to change this if on any other type of setup)
