im quite liking the look of this image
how do i update epg ?it seems to be pre loaded
but how does it update?
only issue is the mgcam ,does anyone use them?

I dont use Mgcam so cant really help with that one. You can configure crossepg from the menu, setup, crossepg. Then setup were you want it to download to USB, hard disc etc, set the providers list you want to use e.g: Rytec Sky Uk, set it schedule downlaods daily or whatever your preference is.
Best to use a USB flash drive for Picons and EPG data, saves spinning up hard disk unneccesarily.

First look is very good. have set it to Magic-EHD skin but am missing a bit of the screen around the edges, i mean its too big, not sure how to change the screen size?? i have 1080p full hd tv but not sure what to set output to 720p or 1080I ???

lots of people experience this - try playing with your tv settings (aspect ratio) - what make is the tele mate?
Here's how you can configure EPG using crossepg....(instructions provided by B16MCC)
1. Press Menu and select Setup.
2. Press ok and select CrossEPG.
3. Press OK again and you'll see the first CrossEPG setup page
4. Press OK again, to enter the Configure page. Setup scheduled download time to download data - suggest early morning for that.
5. Once those settings are made, press RED to go back to the main CrossEPG menu.
6. Now from the menu select 'Open TV Providers' and press OK. Select SlyUK on 28.2east
7. If you now press YELLOW it will start the EPG download process.
Once this process completes you'll find yourself back at the OPENTV providers page. You can now simply exit out of all menus. You're done, your EPG will auto update at the time you requested.

it's LG 37" (think its 37LF7700) from memory....
nice 1, now fixed, my tv had gone into 16:9 mode. put her back in "just scan" & is all fine now.
Strugling a bit also with epg???

Nice 1........ liking the "radio dreamboxuk" but will it cut to the radio dreambox page everytime it downloads the epg in the morning?

so is the epg updated at say midnight for the next day ? its gotta be updated at some point if you get me lol
so I can set it to update daily at 4am and it will update fine
how long does the download take ? think rytec takes about 10/15 minutes from start to finish there abouts

Dont think A standard 800HD will directly play xvid/divx etc it doesnt have the hardware capibility. The 800SE supports direct playing of most audio and video formats.
You can stream from a PC with VLC player on a normal 800HD though.

no worrys i was just testing it
i did notice on this image you can set start up channel
like the 500 and 600 etc
never seen that on a 800 image before.
