Hi Gunner what box/image are you currently using? I'm expecting delivery of a Gigablue Quad HD this evening. Although from speaking the to vendor his description seems to be that more of the Gigablue HD 800 UE plus. You're right, not nearly as much info out there on these boxes compared to whats available for the dreambox etc.

But Gigablue boxes are huge in mainland Europe, I have been advised that the manual that comes with them has an English cover but the rest is in German (Germans taking over, nothing new here).

I have faithfully used the DM 800 HD for a number of years, on paper The gigablue seems better in every way fast zapping/timeshift IPTV... all probably helped by the more powerful MIPS Processor and decent ram. The box can run enigma 2 so if your used that that image should be no problem. Support for multiple and hybrid tuners is why I ordered it, a lot of bang for your buck it seems. I would expect these boxes to become more popular.

I will let you know how I get on with mine.

hi codepatcher , unfortunately due to a lack of support i decided against buying this box and am still using my dm800se,but thanks for your reply and goodluck with your new box

Vendor did come through on this one. It was the Gigablue SE he was selling me. Not near as good as the Quad so I did not buy. I know it was too good to be true for the price.

i got mine from a german ebay seller last year got the quad delivered from germany for £229 which i thought was a good price have added a cable/terrestrial tuner all works fine the new vix apollo image is a good image but images are a personal thing there are a load of nice images out there

Just brought myself the GiGaBlue HD 800 UE+ Plus Digital Satellite Receiver Linux Enigma 2 1x DVB-S/S2 one with LCD display.
actually got it from bamazom france as appossed to our UK bamazon..
Ships from germany and is about £30 cheaper thank UK sellers....
Looking forward to having a play...

EDIT:Anyone know the size specs of this box.?
