Hi again all,

I'm currently parked on Badr-4 at 26.0°E and I have just blind scanned 10.950MHz ~ 11.200MHz and I've found 7 feeds all with the same symbol rate...

I must be picking up the following feeds from either Badr-5 at 26.0°E (highly unlikely) or these feeds are coming from Eutelsat 25B/Es'hail-1 at 25.5°E ...I suspect they are from the latter... if so then these feeds must be the first signals from the Ku-band East Beam as I cannot receive anything on the Ku-band MENA beam... the feed transponders are listed below...

11.165 V 2970
11.169 V 2970
11.173 V 2970
11.181 V 2970
11.185 V 2970
11.189 V 2970
11.193 V 2970

Signal Strength/Signal Quality of the feeds is consistent with Signal Strength/Signal Quality of the MBC Beam on Badr-4 at 26.0°E

Can anyone confirm that these transponders/feeds are indeed coming from Eutelsat 25B/Es'hail-1 at 25.5°E...?

Best Wishes,
Zorch

cant check ATM as i only have a fixed dish on 10east, maybe @digi247 can check for you on his gibby 1.25m,regards mdt

Can't you pull west a little zorch and see if the signals get a little stronger ?.

Hi 3dtv,

Can't you pull west a little zorch and see if the signals get a little stronger ?.

Done that mate... when I first noticed I was receiving the signals I tweaked my dish very very slightly to the West away from Badr-4 to maximize the Signal Quality...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

I have just locked them @ 26E 5 small steps east and I can only just lock them and same west, I would say there from 26E, But I am no expert.

I was looking through it this morning zorch, as I have done now for a while with your fringe posts, I love messing about with fringe like yourself, inclined orbits next :).

Hi again all,

It looks like I was wrong... the transponders/feeds I was receiving last night were actually from Badr-5 at 26.0°E (Pan-Arab Beam) and NOT from Eutelsat 25B/Es'hail-1 at 25.5°E (East Beam).

The feed transponders in question have been added to the Badr-5 at 26.0°E (Pan-Arab Beam) listings on FlySat this morning (reported by KooLy) ...they weren't listed on there last night which made me believe that the transponders/feeds were really coming from Eutelsat 25B/Es'hail-1 at 25.5°E

Thanks to FlySat

So last night was the first time I've ever received any signals from Badr-5 at 26.0°E ...however there's been no sign of any such signals so far today but I'll keep looking... and sorry for the misleading posts last night.

Best Wishes,
Zorch

If you re-check flysat zorch, you will find you was correct first time well done,

Hi again 3dtv,

If you re-check flysat zorch, you will find you was correct first time well done,

Yes mate... I saw the correction on FlySat last night... however there's a couple of transponders omitted from the ones I detected/downloaded... and the transponders/feeds have been listed as coming from the MENA Beam (Middle East/North Africa).

Thanks to FlySat

If the transponders/feeds were indeed coming from the MENA Beam then that would be confusing... as I've been totally unable to receive ANYTHING from this beam... and that is why I assumed they were coming from the (as yet unseen) East Beam.

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Feeds are sometimes sent out at full power I get this at 3.1E very often, or maybe it was coming from the east beam ?,

I get nothing on the mena beam myself zorch.
