nilesat what can you get?

I'm at approx 53.5,-2.6 in the nw. Using a tm-6800hd with 1m orbital and inverto black ultra. A blind scan pulls in 655 channels including ad sports 1 & 2, inc hd. I get jsc sports 1 & 2 inc hd and jsc sports 9 & 10 and jsc global and news inc hd. I'm interested to know if anyone in my area with similar setup is pulling in?

Throw on something like vhannibals channel list and you should hit everything from 39e to 30w big ones i cant see are 7w and some of 26e

What IK can see is all the big sats, I am nw like you and you should get a good range. My dish is 105cm

I Pull in near 1000 but obviously i am using a bigger dish

lol sorry pal I misread everything, i get 385 channels off 7w and I am nw 53n 2.3w

Thanks for the reply m8. I assume your using a 1.2 gibby so would expect your pulling in more.

Edit - Just read gasmans reply. Thanks. It would seem then that the 1m orbital is performing ok for what it is.

what positioning are you using, diseqc 1.2 or USALS

That will be difficult to beat from your location,
I am getting 726 tv channels with a 104 cm in the South East of England from 7 west & 7.3 west.

Yes after 21:30 BST reception of Nilesat 102 improves until early hours next day,

Only 10938V, 12207V, 12284V, being received from 7 west Nilesat 102 atm,

All MENA working ok from 7.3 west.

i picked up 206 channels with 1m dish and inverto eco lnb.
changed lnb to inverto black ultra and now getting 298
in the north east, york.

you're doing well with that number of channels there- but that 12226h one is not easy so far up north - you could make sure you are using the 2 positions, 7w & 7.3w & try for the stronger MBC tp on Nilesat 102 at 7w in the evenings or early morning 1st, if you get them you're bang on even if you don't need them.

i am not getting 10938v here atm but the others are coming in ok,
south yorkshire 1.2 c/m.

I think Merlin meant 11938v 27500 / MBC etc- you'll get that & quite good numbers if you get the others - that's easily the easiest on Nilesat 102

thanks, yes getting the mbc channels etc ok,

Just rescanned nilesat and have managed to pull in 779 channels with 1m orbital, tm2600 motor, inverto black ultra and 6800hd stb. Still nothing on 12,226/H/27,500. I don't think my dish is big enough for 102 in nw @ 54.5,-2.6 approx. I need get my 1.2 channelmaster rigged up to see if I can do better.

im in 53.5,-2.4 approx
just done a blindscan scan on 7w and pulled in 322 channels

using a Gigablue Quad (internal fixed dvb-s2 tuner), 1m orbital, ***** dark superior motor, inverto ultra dual lnb

my location isnt that far from you headwest. would a technomate box give me better reception.

i remember when mdt helped me fit my dish he said the tm's had brilliant tuners but i did not think it would find twice as many channels as my current box like yours.
