Hi guys i have a problem with my fridge freezer.I dont know the make and its intergrated
The freezer part (bottom)works just fine but the fridge wont get cold.
on the highest setting #7 the fridge clicks off at 11 to 12c,It does run and turn off but don't ever get cold enough..
Im perplexed as the freezer part is great.
any ideas or suggestions much appreciated.I have done the normal checks like clean back grill etc makes no difference
Many thanks AJT

I am not a refrigeration engineer, but from what you say, it sounds (from a logical, engineering point of view) that it may be as simple as a tired thermostat. Do you know if it has one compressor or two?

this may help
at the back of your fridge (not the rear of the appliance) you should see a slope from both sides into the centre, there should be a drain hole there, check its not blocked,
use a cotton bud or pipe cleaner to remove any blockages, over the years condensation plus small food particles gather there if it's block the fridge stops working,
it has happened to me a few times and after clearing the drain it works fine again
Good luck

Hi thanks for your replys..It looks like it only has one compressor.I stripped out the thermostat to have a look etc and put it back but the outcome was no change..
went on-line and ordered another thermostat A13 one was only £10 not sure if its exact same but looks like it and has same connections so a cheap fix if it works and not lost to much if it dont chill any better and can also then rule out the thermostat.

@AJT have you tried a defrost

Hi mate yes did a complete defrost and clean..as I posted maybe it is the thermostat as freezer on bottom is perfect
And I put a didgital thermometer in the fridge and it cuts off at 11/12c so I'm hoping it is the thermostat and have one coming tomorrow so will soon find out...fed up with food going off all the time..

Hi guys thanks for your replys, well managed to fix the fridge,I brought a new thermostat from bamazon for only £7 was not sure if it was the correct one but used it and after first hour with thermostat set to highest the fridge temp was 3.9c and stll going so turned down thermostat to #3 and was 9.1c after another hour so turned thermostat to 5 and all good around fridge temp now around 4c so all great..

Glad it worked out for you m8, & thanks for letting us know.

Was a cheap fix in the end..and only took half an hour to replace the thermostat.probably cost over £100 if I called in someone...
