hi lads its my turn for help lol.
customer has dropped a 406 20 petrol s reg in was a cutting out problem,
only cuts out when u r driving along, dies for a few seconds then comes back to life and only when warm, l've put the scanner on a theres no fault showing?
l've swapped to spark pack (same)its not fuel, the electrics just cut for a second.
the cars done 128000 miles (low isnt it) bit of a pain havent got time to swap this and that because you have to drive it for 15 minutes before its plays up again..crank senser could show up on the scanner but its just like that type of fault?
any ideas lads..

no , if u drive at say 45 mph on a long rd it just cuts for a few seconds while u r driving along and iv u put the exc pedle down a little it seems to kick back into life but then its fine u might have to drive again for 10 mins before it happens again ?

so you say your not geting eney fault coads at all???

if the speedo is not erattic then its not the ecu
a common fault on the 406 is the injection harness some times wears
follow it down to by where it meet the gearbox well the bellhousing ther should be a bracket around ther just check that for singns of a bear wire
another thing is if its a bit difficult to start when its hot but its not always the case the injection pump may be failing it may be worth puting an clear in line
filter on the fule line so you can visulise the fule flow

i dont know a lot about petrol engines but i do know the 406 is a pain in the ass

Long shot, does it have a cat ? has it collaspsed and causing a blockage in the pipes ? Seen that happen on a astra took me fooken ages to work it out.
clean the thottle housing today just because it there lol .. anyway drive it round today and not a thing ? but did the same yesterday drove fine then the next time cutting out again ? try it more this afternoon..
talk laters

Hi Mate, could be a fuel sensor...or the fuel pick up is blocked.
if neither of those engine management needs re-reading to find out why, it could just be a code isn't doing it's job
