The fan in my heater seems to have packed in. It would be at this time of year as well. Hot air still comes out the vents, its just not being blown by the fan. Ive changed the fuse and still nothing.
It started playing up the other night when it wouldnt work. Just turning it on and off a couple of times fixed it, now it just wont work at all. Its a 1993 base model btw.

any advice would be helpfull.

any idea on how to get the bloody fan out? I've had a bit of a look but can't find how to get it out.

Hi Mate if hot air is there but no blowing and you've checked the fuse...it's the heater blower / heater matrix.

look under your dash in the passenger foot well you should see a black box it's that, that needs changing...around £10 from scrap heap.

merry christmas

cheers mates.

I'll have a check tomorrow and pop off to the scrappy on tues.

After a quick google, it appears that a common fault on these is the actual fusebox. Some have just bypassed the offending fuse carrier with an inline fuse from a car stereo or similar, worth checking before ripping the dash' out :)

Thanks for the advice. Its a bit dark now, so i'll check everything tomorrow sometime. Only prob is, I dont have a haynes manual - which is a bit of a bugger.

ive found in the past that the fan speed switch on the dash can be at fault also had the connector fall off the back of it..
