Gaps Between trax

I've got Windows Media Player 7.0 and also something called MusicMatch on W2K. The problem is, whenever I play mixed CD's, I get an annoying 1-2 second gap of silence between tracks. I just can't suss out how to stop this occurring and in all other respects these applications work fine. I even emailed MusicMatch's Techinical Support who came back with "Unfortunately there is not a way to remove the gap between tracks during playback with MusicMatch Jukebox". I can't believe this is correct - anyone got any suggestions?

It's not a burning problem (maybe I should have said these mixed CD's play fine on a "normal" CD Player / car unit), the problem is only on the PC - using the programs stated.

yeah i found this aswell m8, i have a large collection of garage, old skool cd's (includeing some ratpack specials ) and i wanted to play them on me laptop and instead of the tracks keep playing theres an anoying break in there

have you tried Realplayer ??? not sure if this will do the trick ?? just an idea

I'm sure there must be a solution somewhere! If I discover it outside of this forum I'll post the results.

mickie, any chance of having a listen to some of the ratpack specials. i also have a large collection of old skool/very early house and drum n bass. just awaiting for some new cartridges to come from a mate then ill have the old 1210 back out to start some recording.

download winamp and then get the plugin to remove the gaps, it works for me

nice suggestion - and it worked too! Still curios why, particular with MediaPlayer, this happens. I can't believe the millions using Microshite haven't moaned about this!
