I have moved this from main site news to gen chat as I don't see it as main site news nor a rant.
Its a good point you make and I too am surprised nothing has been posted in main site news. I did see a post earlier re the sad news of this barbaric act but I think that was posted in Gen chat.

I understand that these post need to be moderated mate but I think its got to the point that people dont want to post about such things......
I'm not racist, but a bunch of twisted muslim/islam nutters have beheaded another british citizen and it cant make DW main site news....
I'm truly gutted for the family of David Haines and I really do hope that this coalition of countries can do as they say and wipe the radical muslim/islam, whatever, out altogether.
And that goes for our own shores....

The fact that someone does not post a subject to mainsite news is not a forum issue mate its a member issue. Im sure that 100% of our membership is as appalled at this barbaric murderousd act as you.
Anything posted within mainsite news (linked to a source) is allowed as long as its within forum rules. If replies get out of hand or fall foul of rules may need to be edited or removed .

If others are anything like me it's a matter of being lost for words apart from really bad ones.

Any post redeemed as murderous, arsonist,or anything else in this category is definitely Main news The David Haines incident was very sad indeed but please let's not use other catastrophes to highlight this sad case. It will be interesting to see exactly how far this thread actually goes now before it gets closed down as racist.

I know what you mean fella don't worry about it. It is all very sad news indeed and it should be discussed in a sensible manner. Unfortunately the David Haines incident either slipped the net or members on here were not very comfortable discussing this matter properly in fear of the PC brigade turning up.

also there was nothing posted about the 9/11 attacks on the aniversary.

There's a warning on Main Site about how stuff can reflect on the whole of DW. It may not be well-known but I would be amazed if Mods and Admins were NOT aware.

On a moderated site Mods & Admins can be legally held responsible for 'inappropriate' content. Now, while cases are few and far between and precedents are few, potentially they could be held collectively and individually responsible.

Just thought you should know.

But we must remember that we must respect others opinions and this is an open forum and anyone can read

Of course we can discuss things that are in the news but also consider peoples feelings etc

tbh I don't quite see the point of this thread anyway. Nobody posted because nobody felt like posting. To attribute this to a fear of moderation says more about those who felt they had to hold back than it does about the moderating team.

Here is just my say i follow alot of political issues and read alot and the reason i don't post some stuff as its best left untouched if you know what i mean?

As some News articles can cause too much of a clash between people yes everyone is entitled to their opinion but i think sometimes its best left alone.I think its always best to post the lighter side of news as im sure alot of people on here have read it anyway as you cant really miss it unless your asleep lol.

I'm at a loss to see why Miggy received an infraction if it wasn't.

Not asking for an explanation but it all seems a bit OTT.
