Hi peeps.

Been awarded enchanted rate mobility so looking to get a motability car for my needs. Got lung issues and an underlying back problem from breaking it in 2002.

Looking at getting a new kuga titanium in the 2.0 diesel variety.

Anyone got one ?

Also. Don't come with the reversing camera as that's on titanium x and can't have that one lol :( anyone know if they just plug and play ?

I got the galaxy titanium in 2 litre powershift and love it but I think it's about 4 grand up front money on mobility.

Power is good (for an old git like me) you can use sports mode & I did tow quite large caravan last summer and it performed well.

Good stuff :) be same engine I would think.

Just waiting too see if I can get grant towards upfront payment. So probs be November before I get one lol

Diesel Particulate Filter, no good if you do short journeys.
Do you pootle around town or do you do a lot of motorway driving?

just take it a kicking on he motorway once a month to clear out all the crap in filter

Yeah a fair bit of round town.

Go clackton from Dagenham and to Leigh on sea as well which is pretty much motorway

Suppose if it breaks it's their car so their problem lol

I would not touch it then, as you would have it in the garage every 1000 miles or so.
You could still end up with a bill as it will not be covered under warranty.
Petrol is what you want, and actually more economical around town.

It will have a DPF.

Particle filter in the exhaust. Not a big deal, you'll need to take the car on a longish run (over 30 minutes) at a decent speed for the exhaust to heat up and burn off the junk and clean itself. Once a month will be fine.

Aside from that, solid engine, I take it is the 140bhp version, masses of torque. 4WD is OK, don't expect to go off-roading but good for the snow. Powershift is amazing, no lag gear changes.

Personally don't like the Kuga, but I don't like SUV in general.

its a mobility car so everything would be fixed . even the tyres are replaced when needed unless its damaged and not wear

Motability do all repairs don't they ?

It's the 2.0 duratorque TDCI 163ps one.

I would probs go for a long run every couple weeks at nsl speeds.

As long as you do the runs all will be fine.

However if it keeps on going in due to not running the car properly. Motability may turn around and say you are not looking after the car properly.

How did you manage to do the garden if you have such a bad back? must have half killed you...

Plenty of morphine :) an sitting down all the time with bits bought to me.
Was stuffed for 3 weeks after with chest an back.

Nice engine, I've driven both in the Mondeo and there isn't much between them. The 163ps has got some extra power at the top end due to variable vane turbo. I think they have a similar mpg.

Just ordered it :) got one at the showroom in blue in same spec I want. So took that :)
