Everyone in the UK is invited to take part in LIGHTS OUT by turning off their lights from 10pm to 11pm on 4 August, leaving on a single light or candle for a shared moment of reflection.

People can take part in whatever way they choose, marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War either individually or by attending one of the many events being organised around the country for a collective experience.

why dont we shut down this website for an hour to show our respects to the fallen

turn the lights out in digi world

It may make more impact with a supportive graphic for 24 hours and a respectful landing page before moving on to the site?

heres something else from the RBL that is very fitting Every Man Remembered - Home

I used help me find someone to commemorate tab, put in a few details , my town, surname etc, I got a young lad ,only 19 killed 3 week before the end of the war. he has the same surname as me lived about 20 miles from me an was a KOYLI (my grandads regiment) I placed a poppy via the RBL , but as im off to the menin gate in a few weeks and I know this young lad is buried in northern france, me an the wife are going to make a detour an pay our respects in person.

#LIGHTSOUT We closed the forum for an hour in respect for the Lights Out HOUR.

Lest We Forget

Was a whole team decision mate, can't take all the credit but was a no brainer and something that we wanted to be a part of!
