me and the family are having a few days up near Holy island, apart from the island and Bamburgh castle what els should we fit in?

Oh and while its early August we are going to go to Edinburgh from Berwick for the day, never been so can strike the Fringe off the bucket list.

Cragside house, there's a few castles knocking about up there too.

Been meaning to visit Alnwick's pubs for some time but it's a long bus ride from here.

Alnwick Castle, expensive though
Bypass Berwick its shite apart from the Walk around the walls. Take the car to Edinburgh but park up on the outskirts and get the bus in to city centre. Train from edinburgh to berwick return will be circa £20 each for adults plus the Kids,
North Berwick better for a day out rather than Berwick Nowadays.

Im struggling to find anything nice to say about Berwick actually, sorry Pal

alnwick isnt a bad day out i was there a few weeks ago.

Dunstanburgh Castle wasnt a bad walk and there is a nice seafood pub / bistro near by.

You don't like Berwick then lol.

I was only getting the train from there we are staying at Cornhill on the Tweed, so you say its better to drive in ? I don't mind that have you done that before and if so can you remember where you parked?

thanks for the other ideas to :)

Parking in Edinburgh during the Festival, even in the suburbs, is a major PITA.

I'd let the train take the strain if you can get a family advanced purchase deal. You'll enjoy your visit much more.

I like a trip to Seahouses while at bambrugh and eat at the bambrugh castle inn
