damn adverts in my broswer! how do i get rid!

hey all

ive got these damn adverts showing in my browser, firefox, and i cant get rid of them!

tried avg anti virus, malware bytes and spybot search and destroy

all of them find stuff and delete them but the adverts are still here

I use an ad-blocking program called Privoxy. It works across all my browsers. I use Chrome mostly, but still have to go back to IE from time to time for certain sites. Best of all, it's free- and it works!

i used this .Remove Pop-up Ads from Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome and it got rid of them for me

sounds like you had a hijack, this is what i like about chrome as it let you know its being changed so you can stop it.

Oh well, at least it's sorted now. :thumbsup: Did the restore date give you any clues as to what caused the issue in the first place?

i use google chrome with 2 plugins. one is called zenmate, helps with torrents downloads and adblock. stops all those pesky adverts on youtube too. both are free from the google apps store.
