similar to allroads thread on old toys, what was ur favorite sweet..

mine was called LAZER it was about 2 inches long with a black and red wrapper it looked yellow with red streaks in it.

my fave was a texan bar, bright yellow wrapper, it was a sort of toffee but well tasty and stretched about a yard when trying to eat it, wish they would make them again!

curly wurly and spangles(you always got these in your selection box)

Penny Dainty's, Sweet Tobacco, Toffee Cup and Caramac, or 5 Park Drive :Smokin:

:Hit:

Highland Toffee Bar. And Chomp they were only 10p, bargain!

I once brought some Yankee Taffy and was sucking on it in class. I said yes to my name when the teacher called out the register and swallowed it. Gulp. It got stuck in my throat and the teachers all rushed round banging my back, squeezing my stomach and even held my upside down. Never came out. In the end I had to drink hot water to get it to melt. Got me off school for half a day.

Used to love Aztec bars, spangles, and I remember when you could buy cadburys milk tray as a bar of chocolate, used to have the lime barrel on (also in the box's to) what happened to the lime barrel ? and not to forget frozen Jubilees, those were the days lol :)

Still love sherbet lemons, cough candy and those pink and white nougat bars. :)

i used to like anything Liquorice i even used to but packets of imps they were a bit like tic tacs but like a very strong Liquorice flavor still like Liquorice but can not eat it how i used to as it seems to act more as a Laxative now lol . i went to a market a couple of years back and there was a stall selling the old sweets and brought a selection of them but the taste was not how i remember them. there also had the tiger nuts there as well i used to love them as a kid so i brought a big bag of them thinking yum yum and only tried a few then chucked them god knows what i ever see in them even the kids would not touch them

Liquorice Root:
Liquorice grows wildly in South Europe as well as Central Asia and it is one of the oldest medical plants in history. From the oldest times its powers seem to have been obviously and are known as from many sources (Babylon, Egypt and ancient Greece). It was among the important luggage plants in the tomb of the pharaoh Tut-ankh-Amon (1350 b. C.) on his journey from earthly life to the life to come.

Nice while the flavour lasts, but then it tastes like what you said m8 "A Twig" lmao
