bit of help electrical

i have a version 1 tomtom and it wont power up so striped it down and here is the power board
i have a feeling that the arrowed item may be faulty (i cannot see a fuse) does anybody know what it is or can they see a fuse


i know there is a fault on the ear phone socket but that wont stop it so disregard
that please

out of the 4 connections the bottom 2 have a link the top 2 dont

Having 4 connections makes me think it could be a choke/coil which would appear to be open circuit.
Seems to be marked L1 so could be the case.
Is pin 3 going to the anode of that top diode?, hard to tell from the photo.

I would check those diodes out as well mate, coils normally burn out for a reason.

just checked again the continuity across the 4 conections getting connetion across the top 2 and the bottom 2
but not on a criss cross which i belive is ok
the diodes i have checked power only 1 way
just going to try charge the battry and see what happens
