so did i really do something thats not allowed it's just that my 9year old grandaughter got 1 as a gift had it 2weeks and somehow has locked her simcard i think thats the problem as i know naff all about them don't even have 1 myself

no m8 but you will get a better responce if you post in the mobile phone section thats where the last post is

if the sim card is locked u will need a puk code, thats from the provider.
Unlocking means that you can use other networks in your fone :)

ok thnx m8 i take a lot of educating cos i must be a bit dim thnx damage

we have tried doing that rick but they said they could not help the phone is a sagem myx2 dont know if that makes a difference

i don't know much about the working's of mobile phones either but the sim could be locked due to the wrong pin code being keyed in you normally get 3 trys and if they are all wrong then the sim will be locked and you will need to phone the company that the sim is registered to ie orange virgin etc give them your detail's and puk code. or you want to unlock the phone to accept a sim for a differant network which would require the phone to be unlocked to accept a new sim which needs a data cable and software of can be done in shops and markets etc .
