I was in Tesco ages ago picking up a film I had had developed and a guy in front of me came back in with a whoe back of stuff like this.

From memory the worst offenders were a bag of cabbage, a bag of lettuce and a loaf of bread, all tesco value and all over 10 days out of date.

THe woman argued that they were out of date and she could not refund them but eventually she did.

When I got to the front she said that it's just tesco policy to refund A) their own product and B) small value items whatever the circumstances

So a serious answer to a not so serious question: Yes

Read the small print on all home brand products
I know no one does
Some say refund AND REPLACE
so spend your money go home open everything
Return to bags back to customer services its all C***p
I want my money back
Oh and a replacement (Of cause top of the range)
And yes this does work done it 3 time now
And with about £50 of shopping
Yes it will take all day arguing your point
But if you have nothing else to do who cares free shopping
So far Somerfield twice Tescos once
