Does anyone have a Renault Scenic?

I have got one for a couple of months from work and I can't figure out how to flash your lights to let someone out etc.

With no lights on if I pull the control stick towards me it puts them on full beam and they stay on full beam for 30 seconds unless I twist them to on and then off again.

Or with light on same thing but they then go back down to normal dipped headlights.

I read the book and this is some sort of 'Guide me home' feature that is for pulling into your driveway or something, but it doesn't tell me how to flash them. They also have a stupid sensor thing so they are supposed to come on automatic in the dark but I can't tell if it's working, same with the wipers, they don't seem to want to work automatically so i have to keep manually switching them on and off.

Finally the stupid key card. As I have only been on the road for a couple of weeks and only had this car for a day, I am still occassionaly stalling at lights or when stood in slooow moving traffic. Thing is when I stall, I am meant to just press the clutch or brake down and then press the ignition button, but for some reason it asks me to remove the card and then re-insert it. It's a right fook about trying to start the thing in a hurry.

I've got a 53 plate Scenic mate, that doesn't right to me? Might be worth getting the electrics checked...?

I can flash with lights on or off just fine. Even if they're on Sensor or manual setting... (You're not pulling it too hard are you? It just needs a gentle flick...)

As for the wipers, yeah, utter crap. If you turn the ignition off, they need turning off, and back on again to come back on to auto...

Mines an auto, so can't comment on the stalling thing, but I hate that damn key card...! How fecking big is it...?

the key card will work again by putting your foot on clutch and pressing the button, dont wory about what the warning it gives you on the dash board as its the same in a megane mate and you flash by a slight pull of the left hand stick, the auto wipers work when its raining on the sensor and the lights will come on when its dark mate because of the sensor if it dont, go into a dealer to have them check them out

Thanks people, will try being a bit gentler when pulling it back.
