Any idea's where i can get a good 1?
someone smashing up my car past few weeks and had enough,
need to know who they are cos they attack at night time when i'm asleep.
cost me well over £100 3 times courtesy of smashed windscreens,
need something which can identify clearly at night and doesnt be too obvious(them red infra red lights they have)
budget of £50 and wireless is preference so i cna keep it in my car and record inside on the vcr

something like this but this looks like it wont catch the signal if theres a window between them and also dont reckon a 9v battery will do mroe than a couple of hours recording at most

not easy when you got to go to work at 8 in the morning lol,

Can you park in a driveway and then get a fixed camera in your house to record what happens to the car?

Hi,

Can you borrow a low-light capable camcorder and a tripod?

If the cam has got a infra-red light put a bit of tape over it to disguise it, point camera at car, set up the shot, connect to a vcr/dvd recorder, if required, and record away, this should give you the resolution you need.

Hope this helps

if its to go in the car hook it up to the cars battery with a 12-9v adaptor m8

Try Maplin mate, they have a wireless 9v package with a transmitter and receiver that you can hook up to a dvd recorder etc. I had the same problem used one, the git got banged up for a month.

Is there a pattern to the days etc when it occurs?as suggested you need to be in the vicinity when it goes off.
Got any mates with a van?flask of coffee and sit it out watching your motor.

Have a look at ip cameras too.
You could mount it on the house or hide it in the garden, then connect to your pc and record to your HDD.
You'll get software with it which you can use to record moving images only, so no sitting there with the vhs on ffw :)

try these IP cameras from solwise... if you can run a discreet network cable from the camera to your PC to record the action
They need 5V DC so you could find a way to run them off your car battery if you are placing insude the car. Otherwise use that network cable to run power over ethernet as well

solwise also have other IP cameras in stock, those are just the new models, they keep getting better

You just need to be careful of the privacy thing mate.

A friend of mine had the same problems and the Police told her she needed a sign up to say CCTV recording!

If someone were to notice the cam and complain then you could be the one in bother.

Just in case you end up in more bother than the pr1ck who done he damage.

will make sure no1 finds out anyway,

im not one to ask he police for help cos ii know full well they are useless

couple of years ago outside the place i worked a gang of younths were walking by a man and his wiife(mid 40's).

couple of them slapped her on the arse and ran,
the husband ran after them and he cornered one of them in our shop(i used to work in a take away)
he rang the policie right there and then and it was about 9 in the eveniing,
anyway his mates must have realised he wasnt wiith them and were walking by looking for him when they saw him cornered in our shop.
they tried to help him get out but the man was as strong as an ox and he walked outside to front them out.
that was like 30 miinutes after he rang the poliice.
anyway there were a good ten of them and they ebat the living shite out of him and ran away,
we ordered him a taxi and cleaned up outsidie where the beating took place,
cue normal business as usual and when we closed up 2 hours later and put the locks on guess what,
thats when the policie came asking about where the man and his wife are gone,
my boss gave them a riight earful and was lucky not to be arrested for verbal assault iif theres sucha thiing

anwyay after that i deciided to stop relying on the police for anything.

you want justice you get it yourself
