guy's can anyone help with this problem, on my pace 4001 box the picture keeps pausing for a split second it is happening an almost all the channels
i am in pure nthell, i have also changed image on mosc card with no difference, have checked in eng menu and signal says good but i tried one of the boosters from argos and this just made the picture worse, i do not have all the channels with my subbed box which is a pace 4010 but this does not seem to be doing it just the modded 4001 and it is happening every coulpe of seconds, could it be the box on its way out?

loose F connector or damaged wire or low signal. could also be bad joint inside the cim can to the F connector socket.

thanks for the reply m8 i will try the feed direct into box and see if this makes any difference, it will at least rule out the splitter

put feed direct into box and still the same pausing/stuttering, has anyone got a pure n*l rom 10 image that is working ok in the glasgow area i could try, i am using the one from the downloads section and get the channels ok but just trying to rule out an image problem before trying something else, although i don't know what next

Try bbc1 with no card inserted - if still freezing it can't be anything to do with the card

Hi all:Clap:
And if it still does the same then
I would guess its the caps to the tuner
My 1st box did the same then 1 day stopped working
Fixed it by using Twobeercans stuck in tune part 2
Been using that box ever since works fine

thanks for all the replies, looks like it is the caps as i removed card and it was still doing it on itv, bbc1 was ok though, so i guess its maplins here i come...lol..
have only ever soldered a jtag, is this any more or less difficult than the caps?

don't forget the caps are polarized so they only go in one way round.
you can cut the old caps off of the board from the top and solder to the pad that is left behind - makes it a very easy task for a novice.
i would check the socket in the cim module first mate just in case, you didn't mention if you had or not !!
