not too familiar with the progger you using but are there any settings on the card that need to be set to Atmega163?

thanks for reply,

not that i can see, altho in appollo config there is eeprom type 8, 16 and 32kbytes to choose from, none seem to make a differnece though

do you think it is a driver issue, the reader came with no software its off www.jabsplace.co.uk

£10 Cased programmer

there is a red LED which comes on when i click Read Ext EEprom, there is a green one also but that hasnt come on

also do you think the card maybe locked, is there anyway of checking?

thanks!!

is there anything that describes the following....

"open funapolo2 and make sure the tamano eeprom externa is set to 24lc256"

doesnt seem to be the first thing but i have set the eeprom to what you said, still no luck,

is there any other software except funmagic or funprom that i can use, both are giving me errors :*(

try this but its in spanish...lol....however if both are giving you errors there could be a problem with the settings, card , progger,

from what i gather you click on the button next to 'tamano eeprom externa ' until the button says 24lc256 (32kbytes), select read specify a name and place to put your file, and it should save it

haha thanks,

before i do it what should i put the settings as, i dont have my BK, only my IRD so i dont wanna erase anything jsut yet!

what is tension on/off aswell!

this is just for reading the exeteep, and getting your ird+BK (always have a backup of that info!!).....get past that then worry about writing it!!

it would have been a lot easier with a phoenix progger!!!

that prog is just freezing,

to be fair ive had enough of this bullsh*t programmer im gonna spend a bit more the dynamite programmer is good right? do u recommend i get that one or the infinity phoenix?

there's a tutorial and software download for this programmer at jab's place website. Not used this programmer before but was under the impression it was for funcards, but if you go to the website there's a few pieces of software you can use to program an atmega.Couldn't see anything bout reading from an atmega.I personally have a dynamite and they are great for atmega's
