Nice to see that a number of us who joined that year are still active on the forum.

Ohh.......the anticipation of Nagra 4.1. I'd just ran a script through my unlooper, unlocked the Rom 11 card. Plugged it into my infinity usb card reader/programmer, started Nagra, will it show me the true boxkey or will it start with the dreaded 6d56?

Crap!!! It's 6d56. Luckily it's not a 2110 so I can jtag this Sammy.
The good old days.

They were shocked at work, when they saw my 0.5mm TSOP rework :D.

Hated SA 4200s, full board out...

Never worked on one of those boxes. Seem to remember they were for a different region. I was in pure NTL. Thought I would have a quick google to look at one and found a rather unfortunate looking pic on an eBay listing.

Wonder if the seller has noticed it? 😂 😂 😂

LMAO... That has to be on purpose! It was a strange Intel TSOP56 in the 4200.

I bought a few from a friend, it was near the EOL for them (with the new Nagra looming). Was dishing them out to friends etc.

My dad had a commercial vehicle service and repair business, the surplus ones went into recycling. After being bashed into a skip by a backloader JCB.
