I bought and sucessfully connected to my dreambox7025 with Dreamup (using NULL modem Cable)
.
I want to flash with an img
But the problem is, the program is only recognising NAND flash images *.nfi

How do i get it to recognise *.img files?

Rename the *.img files to *.nfi, then it will recognize it.

then ul end up bricking your dreambox lol

either flash the nfi via the web interface OR use the version of dreamup which works with nfi images

Is it correct that the 500+ uses the new .nfi type images as well?

I think the 7020 uses .nfi so that only leaves the 5620, 7000 and 500 using the old .img files

One big advantage with the 7020 and 7025 is the ability o recover from a bad flash due to the 2 stage boot loader. It makes flashing fast and easy as well.
