I've got a diablo cam and loaded it with Stealth 2.06 firmware.

I'm in C&W region and using a PC DVB-C card. I've already got this working with a a funcard and Dragon cam but had a few problems with picture freezes. Hence why I'm trying the Diablo Cam. I've set my boxkey on the cam, however when I inserted my Fun card which worked with the same boxkey on my Dragon cam it didn't work.

Am I missing a step anyone? Also anyone know how to get the emulator part of the Diablo cam working so I don't even need a smart card?

Thanks in advance.

I can help you with the emulation bit, I think (I don't actually have it working yet).

I found that when I tried to turn it on through the CI tool/Menu, it wouldn't save. I took the config.xml file and edited it on my PC:

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

I have put a carriage return in between each key to make it easier to read, in the file it's all one line with spaces, I suggest you look at your own first. Dunno if half of it is relevant or not.

Copied it back onto the CAM and when I went back in to look on the CI Tool, the emulation was set.

Got the info from a post on FireDTV forums made by a guy that's also appeared on here.

If you try the above, please let me know if it works...

Is there a keys file I need for C&W as per your post to the other thread.

I was able to save my settings on the cam, change boxkey etc.

Many thanks

I've edited that other post, and brought the info into here:

I got a cas3+, after flashing with Stealth 2.06 I read the files on the card and can see Nagra folders, keys.bin and config.xml files etc. I've used fausto to add a provider for NTHELL, and 00 and 01 keys. Not entirely sure I've got the right provider id or CAID (whatever that is) but my main issue is adding the keys:

I read in that mediaportal thread that you should add keys 00 and 01 - in my keys.bin I've added two values to the 'IDEEA key 86 (00)' and 'IDEEA key 96 (01)' keys. Are these the right keys? I've deleted all the other keys.

When I add the values, I have two HEX encryption codes - should I be converting these to decimal before I add them? In the keys.bin/.xml the two keys are listed as:

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

But, obviously, those decimal values won't correctly convert back to the HEX values...

I mentioned before that if I stuffed my nthell sub card in the CAM in the FireDTV and used the CI tool, I could see two HEX values - are these the HEX encryption codes? I haven't checked if these match with the codes I've used above.

I've just donated, so I realise now that those encryption codes are the wrong ones (out of date). Also, it's just occured to me to try the decimal code with leading zeros, although it's a bit of a pain to set up with fausto.

Quick question - if you've scanned/got an encrypted channel, but it's not being decrypted (i.e. CAM not setup right) what do you see? Do you get the MCE "No Signal" screen or do you see something else?

I got the MCE no signal.

Mines not decrypting then...

Struggling with the transponder codes aswell :handball:

I realise now what I'd done wrong - I'd added the provider to the Nagra 2 section, not the Nagra section.

Also, you can use the "CAM Test Tool" from www.digital-everywhere.com to set the nagra enulation and the keys with the CAM in the FireDTV.

Couldn't see a way of upgrading the firmware

So, if you get a Diablo with high enough firmware, you shouldn't need a CAS3

:D Got it working :D

I might do a guide.

Simply put, the provider and keys need to go in the Nagra section, not the Nagra 2 section. Obvious really.

hello mate it might be a daft question what receiver do you use the cam in? because i thought it was for only satelite receivers only. thanks

Mine's in a FloppyDTV-C

Edit: Sorry, it was late. I'm actually using a FireDTV-C. Same thing really.
