I found its best to start off with a fun4, easy to program and there are plenty of files available for them.

the only difference i've noticed between the two is price. funcards here

Everybodies saying Funcards so I'll be different and say ATMega's !

Effectively, the cards run very similar software but the ATMega has 2 main advantages -

1/ It has a hardware multiplier which allows faster Emm decryption

2/ It has a much bigger flash so is easier to add new keyroll methods into.

Funcards may be marginally cheaper but the ATMega is probably more flexible.

Funcards because when th cable companys knock them the fun fix is normally released a good while befor the atmega :eater:

can both these cards be reprogrammed more than once or do i need a new card every time?

Another vote for the less popular ATMega.

Funcards seem a bit fragile to me, found a few of my old cards wouldn't reporogram but the ATMega ones would.

Try both types and see how you get on, experimenting is all part of the fun :) excuse the pun...
